Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Pinnacle Care of Battle Creek is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating resident needs for speech therapy, planning and executing individual treatment programs, and providing high-quality care in accordance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate resident needs for speech therapy and create personalized treatment plans

• Plan and execute individual treatment programs in accordance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice

• Keep treatment skills upgraded through continuing education, evidence-based research, and program development

• Perform therapy interventions using standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the resident

• Educate and counsel residents and/or family members regarding treatment plans

• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations

• Plan and/or assist with resident discharge from speech therapy services

• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology granted by an accredited university program

• Certificate of Clinical Competence by ASHA

• Active SLP license in the state of Michigan

• Possesses and maintains BLS certification to meet department/program protocol
