Lead Sterile Processing Technician

Lead Sterile Processing Technician – Full Time Evening Schedule Providence Portland Medical Center is looking for a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to oversee the preparation and quality control of surgical instruments for assigned services. Responsibilities Coordinate, supervise, and educate staff regarding activities associated with surgical instrument preparation, including instruments by procedure and instrument count sheets for assigned services. Organize inventories and maintain the sterile instrument inventory system. Collaborate with departments to identify instrument needs and assist in the training of personnel in general and complex instrumentation procedures. Coordinate instrument repairs for surgical services. Required Qualifications National Certified Registered Central Service Technician – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire, or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire. 5 years of recent Sterile Processing experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree. Leadership experience.
