Providing psychological services on the campus and/or at off‑site community camp locations, the coordinator will be responsible for: Coordinating the delivery of psychological services throughout Madera Community College, including grief therapy, crisis intervention, referrals, record‑keeping, assessment of student behavior, educational programs, and development of policies, procedures and protocols; Developing equity‑mindful inclusive programs to foster a positive mental‑health climate district‑wide; Collaborating with campuses to provide consultation, support and assistance during crisis situations, psychological emergencies, assessment of dangerousness and inability to function in an academic environment; Developing programs to address the treatment and prevention of alcohol and substance dependency; Selecting, training and supervising clinical interns accredited through the college’s membership in the American Psychological Association Accredited California Psychology Internship Consortium (CAPIC); Serving as liaison with APA, CAPIC and APPIC; Maintaining appropriate certifications and accreditations for the college and staff; Coordinating day‑to‑day operations, including assessment and record‑keeping, reporting on students served, oversight of the budget and supervision of graduate‑level interns; Ensuring services conform to APA Principles of Psychologists, Code of Conduct and applicable California laws; Setting annual goals and ensuring services align with institutional priorities and goals; Evaluating student needs and recommending programs and services to meet those needs; Serving on and attending department, college and district committees as needed; Participating in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning; Working assignments in a variety of settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, online or off‑campus as needed; Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited institution. A valid California State Psychologist License with a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, including psychological counseling and crisis intervention. Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender‑identity, sexual‑orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community‑college students. Note: A valid California Community College credential is acceptable, provided the candidate also meets the above requirements. Desirable Qualifications Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into all responsibilities. Recent experience working with African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, Native American, and other racially minoritized students. Experience working with students of varying cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities. Willingness to examine and remediate relational practices to better support racially minoritized students. Professional experience and ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. Experience teaching, training, and/or supervising clinically. Ability to communicate sensitive information in oral and written formats. Skills providing consultation to professionals and non‑professionals. Familiarity with standard research practices. Knowledge of the community‑college mission and goals. Conditions of Employment 205 duty days per year. Duty days will be prorated based on the start of assignment. Salary and Benefits Starting annual salary: $71,054 – $125,271 based on education and experience. Annual doctoral stipend of $2,419.
