Inspector Analyst Full-time Regular Hrly Non Exempt Stan Pasadena, TX, Pasadena, TX, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 3217 Corporate Job Title Inspector Analyst Reporting Relationship Reports To: Branch or Operations Manager Position Summary The Inspector Analyst is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and overseeing Field Inspector requirements within the branch office. This includes ensuring that field equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and available, coordinating the maintenance of fleet trucks, and supporting other inspection-related operational requirements. The Inspector Analyst serves as a key administrative and operational resource to ensure Inspectors are properly qualified, equipped, and prepared to safely and effectively perform their assigned duties. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and operating practices as they relate to inspection services. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling personnel and company information. Must effectively communicate with Inspectors and maintain professional working relationships. Must be capable of maintaining accurate and timely records and following up on outstanding requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet established deadlines. Must understand and consistently apply applicable inspection requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate equipment, vehicle, and operational requirements with Inspectors, management, vendors, and other appropriate personnel. Responsibilities The Inspector Analyst is responsible for applying and maintaining a strong understanding of applicable company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to: Safety Manual – Section 2.1.2: Personal Protective Equipment QSM – SOP 18: Field Equipment Calibration and Verification Accident Prevention Manual – Section 3: Safety Education and Training Component Inspector Qualification and Compliance The Inspector Analyst shall take all necessary actions to ensure Inspectors: Meet all required pre-hire and periodic qualifications and certifications. Maintain current documentation and credentials required to perform inspection services. Complete required training and safety programs within established timeframes. Meet applicable terminal, customer, local, and regulatory entry requirements. Remain qualified and eligible to perform assigned inspection duties. Receive timely notification of upcoming qualification, certification, training, and other compliance requirements. Equipment and PPE Management The Inspector Analyst is responsible for ensuring Inspectors are properly assigned and equipped with required field and safety equipment, including PPE. Responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate records of equipment assigned to each Inspector. Ensuring equipment and supplies are properly accounted for. Monitoring equipment condition and identifying equipment requiring repair or replacement. Ensuring required equipment calibrations and/or verifications are completed and current. Maintaining accurate calibration, verification, inspection, and equipment records. Ensuring required PPE is available, appropriate, and maintained in accordance with company requirements. Coordinating replacement or replenishment of equipment and supplies as necessary. Maintaining records in accordance with company policies and operating practices. Identifying equipment deficiencies and communicating corrective actions to the appropriate personnel. Supporting the procurement and availability of equipment and supplies necessary for field operations. Fleet Vehicle Management The Inspector Analyst is responsible for supporting the branch's fleet vehicle maintenance and readiness requirements. Responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate records for assigned fleet trucks and vehicles. Monitoring scheduled and preventive maintenance requirements. Coordinating routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service appointments. Tracking vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and other applicable documentation. Communicating vehicle maintenance requirements and deficiencies to the Branch or Operations Manager. Following up on outstanding repairs and maintenance to ensure timely completion. Monitoring vehicle condition and reporting safety or operational concerns. Coordinating the availability of replacement or backup vehicles when necessary. Maintaining accurate and current fleet records in accordance with company policies and operating practices. Supporting efforts to ensure fleet vehicles are safe, reliable, properly equipped, and available for field operations. Records and Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate, current, and organized Inspector qualification and compliance records. Monitor expiration dates and proactively communicate upcoming requirements to Inspectors and management. Follow up on incomplete, expired, or outstanding requirements. Maintain accurate equipment, PPE, fleet, and maintenance records. Coordinate with appropriate personnel, departments, training providers, vendors, and other resources as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of personnel, qualification, and other sensitive company records. Provide management with status updates and identify potential compliance issues before they affect Inspector availability or branch operations. Support branch operations by ensuring Inspectors are properly qualified, equipped, and prepared for assignments. Maintain organized documentation to support internal reviews, audits, customer requirements, and company compliance. Fitness for Duty / Physical Demands The Inspector Analyst must be able to perform administrative and field-related duties, including working 8–12-hour shifts as needed. Work may occur indoors or outdoors, during day or night, and may require full PPE and exposure to varying temperatures and petroleum facility environments. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs., walk and stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, bend, squat, kneel, reach, push/pull equipment, sit, and drive for extended periods. Employees must be able to work independently and safely while complying with all applicable company and site-specific safety requirements. Physical demands may vary based on operational needs and assignment. Employees assigned to this position must be able to: Work indoors and outdoors for extended periods. Wear required PPE for the duration of applicable field activities. Work in varying weather and temperature conditions. Work during both daytime and nighttime hours when required. Work independently and safely in field environments. Climb ladders and stairs as required. Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials within the stated requirements. Maintain sufficient mobility, balance, coordination, and physical capability to safely perform assigned duties. Use required inspection and field equipment safely and effectively. Perform routine activities associated with inspection equipment, PPE, fleet vehicles, and branch operations. Comply with all applicable company safety policies and procedures. Performance Expectations The Inspector Analyst is expected to maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, confidentiality, professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail. The position plays an important role in ensuring that Field Inspectors remain qualified, properly equipped, and compliant with company and customer requirements. The Inspector Analyst is also responsible for supporting the operational readiness of field equipment, PPE, fleet vehicles, and other resources necessary to support inspection services. The Inspector Analyst is expected to proactively identify upcoming requirements, deficiencies, maintenance needs, and potential compliance issues and communicate them to the appropriate management personnel in a timely manner. Failure to maintain current qualifications, certifications, training, equipment records, fleet records, or other required documentation may affect an Inspector's ability to perform assigned work or may impact branch operations. Such issues must be promptly identified, communicated, and addressed.
