Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will anticipate the surgeon's needs, handle surgical instruments and equipment, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the operative process. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room with the appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures. Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and standard precaution guidelines. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment while anticipating procedural needs. Ensure the integrity of the sterile field throughout all surgical procedures. Work closely with physicians, registered nurses, and the surgical team to provide safe and efficient patient care. Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to established protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operating room environment. Follow hospital policies, regulatory standards, and operating room procedures. Handle surgical equipment appropriately and report equipment issues when necessary. Support patient safety initiatives before, during, and after surgical procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required. Previous operating room experience preferred. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection control practices. Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
