Job Summary: Project Manager (Remote, $40 $60/hr)

About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Project Manager, leading innovative and complex projects in the advancement of Appliance Standards. This fully remote position offers you the autonomy to manage multiple projects from concept to completion, with a focus on technical and cost-control excellence. Be part of a collaborative, inclusive environment where your expertise drives impactful results and supports sustainability initiatives. Preference is given to candidates located in the Northeast region, but applicants from across the US are welcome.

Responsibilities

- Oversee full project lifecycle management for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and manage detailed workplans, budgets, and deliverables tracking using MS Office, Asana, and SharePoint.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, providing clear guidance and feedback.
- Review and critique technical reports, contractor documentation, and project articles.
- Translate complex technical specifications especially regarding building systems and heat pumps into accessible information for non-technical staff.
- Support the ongoing development, refinement, and execution of program initiatives and rulemaking.
- Proactively communicate project progress, escalate issues when necessary, and contribute to Codes & Standards team outcomes.
- Travel up to 10% for essential meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

- 3 6 years of experience managing complex projects independently under tight deadlines.
- Expertise with Microsoft 365, Asana, and SharePoint for project and document management.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse teams and fostering an inclusive culture.
- Technical knowledge of building systems, residential/multifamily environments, and heat pump installation and commissioning.
- Bachelor s degree required.

Preferred Skills

- Master s degree
- Certifications: CEM, EIT, PE
- Advanced understanding of technical specifications and testing results
