Commercial Relationship Manager III - CDL Hiring Range: $136,599 - $224,413. Eastern offers a robust benefits and retirement package. Job Description The Relationship Manager (RM) III – Tax Credit is an independent subject matter expert with significant experience. The RM III maintains portfolio quality, supports a portfolio manager, and leads new business development. Responsibilities Generate new business to meet sales goals and represent the bank at networking events. Maintain an extensive network of contacts for business development and market advice. Manage prospect lists, network with COIs and internal partners, and recommend complex credit structures. Apply underwriting procedures, including risk acceptance criteria, to propose deals requiring limited oversight. Conduct due diligence, including fraud awareness, and engage with internal and external risk reviewers. Draft pre‑deal and credit documentation, ensuring high quality and limited review. Present complex credits, negotiate loan documents, and address key issues with the team. Work with the portfolio manager to maintain portfolio quality, covenant testing, and risk ratings. Collaborate with the Construction Management Group on active construction loans and review appraisals and field exams. Assist the Group Head with tax credit investment strategy and portfolio management. Guide and mentor junior staff and other senior managers as needed. Use relevant technology, including nCino, for portfolio management and reporting. Contribute to policy and procedure enhancements and participate in special projects. Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a commercial lender. Formal bank credit training preferred. Experience structuring tax credit investments and equity portfolio management.
