About the Team

HIFI's compliance team is what makes it possible for banks, fintechs, and institutions to move money on stablecoin rails with confidence. The team owns the BSA/AML program, sanctions controls, and client onboarding that every partnership and every dollar of volume depends on. As stablecoin regulation takes shape this role helps HIFI scales from an early-stage startup into a long-term, category-defining platform, this team will set the standard for how compliance is built into institutional stablecoin infrastructure, as a core part of the product rather than an add-on.

The Compliance Associate works at the center of that effort. You'll run day-to-day KYC/KYB reviews, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening across both fiat and on-chain flows, and you'll be the one answering diligence requests from banking partners and examiners. This is a hands-on role with real scope: you'll work directly with product and engineering to turn regulatory requirements into onboarding flows and monitoring rules, and you'll help shape the policies and tooling that let HIFI's compliance function scale alongside transaction volume.

Responsibilities

• Conduct KYC/KYB due diligence and onboarding reviews for institutional clients, fintechs, and financial institutions using HIFI's stablecoin rails.
• Monitor transactions across fiat and stablecoin flows; investigate alerts, escalate unusual activity, and support SAR preparation and filing.
• Perform sanctions screening (OFAC and other applicable lists) on clients, counterparties, and blockchain wallet addresses, and resolve potential matches.
• Support the day-to-day operation of HIFI's BSA/AML program, including risk assessments, enhanced due diligence, and periodic client reviews.
• Respond to due diligence requests, audits, and information requests from banking partners, regulators, and external examiners.
• Help maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and documentation as regulatory requirements evolve, including stablecoin-specific rules under the GENIUS Act.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate regulatory requirements into onboarding flows, monitoring rules, and system controls.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement of compliance tooling and processes as transaction volume grows.

You might be a fit if

• 1-4 years of experience in BSA/AML, KYC/KYB, or financial crimes compliance, ideally at a fintech, payments company, bank, or crypto firm
• Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring, alert investigations, and drafting or supporting SAR filings
• Working knowledge of OFAC sanctions screening and the realities of resolving potential matches, including for blockchain wallet addresses
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic) and how stablecoin flows differ from traditional fiat rails
• Comfortable fielding diligence requests from banking partners, auditors, or examiners and producing clean, well-organized documentation under deadline
• Able to translate regulatory requirements into concrete rules and workflows, and enjoy working with product and engineering to build them into the system
• Following stablecoin regulation closely, including the GENIUS Act, and energized by helping define what compliance looks like in a new category
• Detail-oriented and sound in judgment, trusted with sensitive client information and escalation decisions
• You want to help build a compliance function from the ground up at a high-growth company, not maintain a mature program inside a large institution
