Assistant Director of Nursing MedSurg

Overview We have partnered with a highly respected community hospital in New York. This is a beautiful location for those who enjoy the outdoors. We are working to help them identify an Assistant Director of Med/Surg. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or emerging nursing leader looking to step into executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CNO, you'll join a health system affiliated with a University, combining the feel of a community hospital with the resources of a larger academic network. Responsibilities Lead daily operations of a busy Medical/Surgical service Mentor and develop nursing leaders and staff Drive quality, patient safety, and employee engagement Partner closely with the CNO on operational initiatives Help foster a culture built on accountability and empowerment Qualifications BSN required; MSN preferred or in progress Progressive acute care nursing leadership experience Strong communication and team-building skills Passion for coaching and developing others Benefits and Culture There are several units comprising 26–32 beds, supported by a 24/7 supervisor, 29 FTE, an awesome culture focused on empowerment and accountability.
