Sign‐on Incentives: Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign‐on bonus of up to $15,000. Education/Experience Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting License/Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS RN License or Valid NYS Limited Permit to practice as a GN Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty Previous scrub nurse experience Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Certification Impeccable organization, time management, and critical‐thinking skills Primary responsibilities: assisting surgeons during operations and maintaining a sterile environment prepare the instruments, supplies and the OR for surgical procedures effective communication with all members of the surgical team anticipate the surgeon's needs and react quickly to changes during surgery Work Environment: 40 hour work week 10 hour work days On‐call shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays ‐‐‐‐‐ Why You'll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
