The Opportunity

We are supporting our client with the appointment of a Credit Control Administrator to join its Finance team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis. Based in Edinburgh, the role will initially be office based, with longer-term hybrid working potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Credit Control Manager with the timely and effective collection of outstanding fees
• Maintain regular client contact by email, telephone and letter in a professional and discreet manner
• Support the resolution of credit control queries raised internally and externally
• Liaise with Partners, fee-earners and colleagues across the business to progress outstanding matters
• Prepare entries for fee payments and support accurate cash allocation
• Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the credit control function
• Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes to support effective reporting and administration
• Handle confidential client and financial information with care and professionalism

Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in credit control administration or a similar finance administration role
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information
• Professional and confident communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner
• High level of confidentiality and discretion
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
• Proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
• Strong team player with a collaborative and helpful approach
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages
• Willingness to learn new business systems and platforms, with full training provided
