Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, inclusive of physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions through meticulous analysis of imaging and laboratory results
• Collaborate with surgeons to devise and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide crucial intraoperative support, from preparing surgical rooms to ensuring proper patient positioning, and skillfully managing surgical instruments during operations
• Offer exemplary pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication administration, wound management, discharge plans, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of surgical techniques and sterile practices
• Proven capability in interpreting diagnostic tests and influencing complex clinical decisions
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to perform well in high-pressure scenarios, particularly in surgical settings
