Attendance Clerk/Registrar 2026/2027 School Year Flour Bluff Primary – Corpus Christi, Texas Job Details Job ID: 5741663 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 27, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Jul 27, 2026 Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE: The role of the Attendance Clerk/Registrar is to manage and oversee attendance accounting and registration. Duties include, but are not limited to, enrolling new students, determining school credits and residence status, preparing and maintaining transcripts and permanent records of students, and performing routine secretarial and other duties as assigned by the principal. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification as per TEA rules and regulations Proficiency in typing, word processing and file maintenance MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Demonstrates proficiency in duties requiring secretarial training skills, including data entry and keyboarding, while maintaining smooth operations in the front office. Efficiently performs routine office procedures. Provides courteous, friendly, and efficient service to students, parents, staff and campus guests. Handles incoming and outgoing calls in the approved manner and documents appropriately. Gathers and records information for reports and records according to guidelines for attendance accounting and registration. Maintains information for committees and task forces, routing of communications, requisitions, and other pertinent information available for inspection. Maintains accurate and timely filing of student records, including deciphering transcript information for new students and informing the principal of irregularities. Provides teachers and administration with accurate information as needed. Provides grades, enrollment, and attendance information to administration and parents as requested. Maintains and updates transcripts for current students and ensures accurate information for withdrawals, enrollments, UIL, etc., and participates in annual archiving of student records. Demonstrates proficiency in secretarial skills through produced letters, lists, reports, and requisitions. Operates office machines, computer hardware and software proficiently. Demonstrates empathy-competence in relations with students and staff, respecting individual feelings and needs. Displays cooperativeness and initiative, relieving workload of co-workers where possible. Exhibits punctuality and dependability in performing duties. Assists in supervising and maintaining confidentiality regarding student records, attendance and grades. Assumes personal responsibility for improving competencies through staff development and reading current literature. Initiates procedures to modify performance based on self-analysis and feedback. Is courteous, friendly, and efficient in serving staff and the public, exhibiting maturity and self-control. Follows proper channels when communicating ideas or problems. Performs other duties as requested by campus administration.
