Registered Nurse- PACU- Full Time (36 hours per week, day shift)

About The Job A PACU RN provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures. The PACU RN monitors vital signs, manages pain relief medications, administers intravenous fluids, and provides emotional support to family members during recovery. The RN communicates with physicians regarding changes in the patient’s condition and may provide education to the family about caring for the loved one. The RN must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment while monitoring multiple patients at once and taking appropriate action when needed. What You’ll Do Ensure patients receive optimal postoperative care through monitoring vital signs and conducting assessments. Provide comfort measures to ensure patient comfort as they recover from anesthesia. Administer medications, pain relief, and IV fluids as prescribed by the physician. Educate patients on their recovery progress and answer any questions they may have. Assist with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition back home. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible for patients after surgery. Document postoperative care in medical records accurately and completely. Who You Are Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License. Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
