Job Description Job Duties Responsible for all operations during shift, including cost control, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. Follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from crew. Operate all equipment. Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility daily. Manage staffing and paperwork. Ensure cost controls and cash control. Manage food, schedule, store image, and adherence to standards. Provide great customer service and maintain attendance and punctuality. Transport to/from work and maintain store cleanliness. Assist with marketing and profitability. Receive training orientation and on‑the‑job training. Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential Functions / Skills Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly; use calculator if needed. Make correct monetary change. Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Coordinate motor actions between eyes and hands/fingers for precise, rapid movements. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F or higher in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature both in the work area and while outside. Exposure to food fumes, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands Standing most tasks performed from standing position; walking on ceramic tile, bricks, linoleum; walking surfaces include food process areas. Walking generally short distances for short durations. Sitting for paperwork at a desk or table. Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lb, dimensions 3’ × 1.5’) and stacking onto shelves up to 72” high. Carrying large cans (3 lb 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves; occasionally pizza sauce (30 lb) and trays of pizza dough (12 lb per tray) three at a time over short distances. Pushing dollies with trays (~24”–30”) that require up to 7.5 lb force. Climbing stairs or ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, and perform maintenance. Stoop/bend at waist for ~30–45 s at a time at pizza assembly station; forward bending at front counter and stocking ingredients. Crouching/squatting occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching upward up to 72”, downward, and forward continuously; reaching down to perform tasks such as scooping cornmeal, washing dishes; reaching forward to obtain topping ingredients, clean work surfaces, or answer phones. Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands, forearms, wrists for shaping pizza dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter, pinch­ing cardboard boxes. Use of pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel. Additional Information For delivery expert or store management positions: Deliver product by car to customers, deliver flyers and door hangers. Requires valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards and access to insured vehicle for delivery. Additional Essential Skills Navigation skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area. Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Additional Physical Demands – Delivery Personnel Carrying: carry pizzas, sides, beverages while walking and climbing. Driving: deliver pizzas within designated delivery area, potentially several deliveries per shift. Walking: travel between store and vehicle and from vehicle to customer location.
