3rd Shift - Welder II

Location: Keosauqua, IA, US, 52565 Work Arrangement: Onsite FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt Department: Operations Shift: 3rd What we are looking for: The Welder is responsible for using hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. What you’ll be responsible for in this role: Read and follow written and verbal communication or instruction Read and interpret blueprints and work orders Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling Work at different workstations as production needs require Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell Perform other duties as assigned To be a great fit for the role: Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player Effectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands‑on in problem solving A fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organization A passion for getting things right Can‑do attitude, committed to finding solutions Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction Physical Demands: Occasionally – Sitting, Walking, Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs Frequently – Standing, Foot Use, and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs Constantly – Gripping

• Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the time
