Shift Manager - Full Time Pewaukee

The Shift Manager supports daily store operations by providing on-site leadership during assigned shifts and serves as an extension of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. This role rotates between supervising front-of-house operations (cashiers, customer service, voucher assistance, cash office) and back-room operations (sorting, pricing, production, and donations). The Shift Manager helps carry out the Store Manager’s direction by ensuring operational efficiency, a positive customer experience, staff and volunteer engagement, and consistent alignment with the organization’s mission and values.Serve as the acting manager on duty during assigned shiftsProvide direction, coaching, and support to staff and volunteersEnsure staffing coverage, break compliance, and smooth shift transitionsModel professionalism, accountability, and mission-driven serviceSupervise cashiers and customer service staffEnsure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and opening/closing proceduresAddress customer concerns, returns, and voucher as neededOversee donation intake, sorting, pricing, and production flowEnsure safety standards and efficient workflow in the back roomMonitor productivity goals and support timely replenishment to the sales floorMaintain organization of inventory, supplies, and processing areasProvide hands-on support as needed to meet daily production targetsMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floorSupport merchandising standards and sales initiativesHigh school diploma or equivalent1–3 years of retail or supervisory experience (thrift or non-profit preferred)Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings #J-18808-Ljbffr Society Of St Vincent De Paul Waukesha County Inc
