Cashier, Per Diem

Description In this role, you will provide excellent customer service while supporting daily operations within the hospital cafeteria and coffee bar. This position combines cashiering responsibilities with beverage preparation and food service support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Accurately process customer purchases using a computerized point-of-sale system Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and quality standards Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, ensuring supplies and products are replenished as needed Perform cash handling duties, including balancing cash drawers, reconciling daily transactions, and securing deposits in accordance with established procedures Assist in food service operations and support other cafeteria stations based on departmental and operational needs Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards at all times This is a per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. May convert to Career. Effective 06/22/2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.
