General Surgery Physician opening – Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Iowa Position Details

• Full-time General Surgeon opportunity with a focus on breast or thyroid surgery
• Inpatient and outpatient surgical practice supported by a strong referral base and comprehensive specialty network
• Excellent support including interventional radiology, cardiology, GI, pulmonary critical care, urology, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and Ob/Gyn
• Block OR scheduling with additional open add-on time available
• Practice locations include UnityPoint Health ‚Äì Allen Hospital (8 ORs + 1 CVOR) and United Medical Park ASC (4 ORs + 2 procedure rooms)
• State-of-the-art diagnostic and robotic capabilities (Da Vinci XI)
• 12-bed ICU with intensivist support
• 31-bed ED and Level III Trauma Center
• Teaching opportunities with Family Medicine Residency and Des Moines medical students
• Fully integrated Epic EMR for seamless care coordination
• Call schedule: 1:5 rotation
Candidate Requirements
• MD or DO
• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
• Eligible for unrestricted Iowa medical license
• Active or eligible DEA registration
• H-1B cap exempt and J-1 waiver sponsorship available
