Emergency Room (ER) NurseWe are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The position involves working evening and night shifts, with guaranteed hours of 36 hours per week, and requires the ability to handle critical situations effectively.Unit OverviewType: Emergency RoomTrauma Level: Level 4 trauma centerBed Availability: 24 beds, 4 critical rooms, and 1 trauma roomPatient Volume: 80-110 patients treated dailyNurse-Patient Ratios: 1:4 for general ED, 1:2 or 1:1 for ICU in ED based on acuityResponsibilitiesProvide efficient emergency care to patients in the ER.Triaging patients as needed, depending on demonstrated ability.Manage emergency procedures such as conscious sedation and critical thinking for AMI management.Utilize intake models for lower acuity patients with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios.Coordinate with healthcare teams for patient treatment and care plans.Assist in managing ED holds and work collaboratively with security personnel in-house.Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.Demonstrated skills in critical thinking and emergency care protocols.Working ConditionsShift Length: 12-hour shifts, including nights and late mids (3-3).Schedule: Every other weekend and required holidays, with a minimum of 2 call shifts in a 28-day schedule.Orientation: Hospital orientation followed by shifts with a mentor in each ED location.Additional InformationFloating between different Emergency Department locations may be required.Uniform: Navy blue dignity scrubs.Support staff includes ED Technicians, paramedics, and respiratory therapists available to assist during shifts.Join a team that values excellence in patient care and be part of an environment that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and professionalism.
