About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join a growing luxury sports collectibles boutique. This individual will deliver an elevated, highly personalized client experience while bringing deep knowledge and enthusiasm for sports cards, collectibles, and memorabilia

The ideal candidate is both a strong salesperson and a true expert in the sports card and collectibles space, with an understanding of card values, grading, rarity, players, sets, market trends, and the broader collecting community. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently engage both seasoned collectors and clients who are newer to the category while maintaining the level of service expected in a premium retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional, high-touch client experience to collectors, enthusiasts, and luxury clientele.
• Drive sales across sports cards, collectibles, memorabilia, and other premium merchandise.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients, providing informed recommendations based on collecting interests, budgets, and investment or acquisition goals.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of sports cards , including players, sets, parallels, inserts, rookie cards, autographs, numbered cards, rarity, condition, and market value.
• Maintain familiarity with major card manufacturers, grading companies, and authentication standards, including PSA, BGS, SGC , and other relevant organizations.
• Stay current on the sports card and collectibles market, including pricing trends, major releases, player performance, emerging categories, and collector demand.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through thoughtful follow-up, outreach, and personalized recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through new arrivals, exclusive products, and highly sought-after pieces.
• Support the presentation and merchandising of merchandise to ensure the boutique maintains an elevated and polished environment.
• Assist with inventory organization, product intake, pricing updates, and maintaining accurate product information.
• Handle high-value merchandise with exceptional attention to detail and care.
• Collaborate with leadership to support sales goals, special events, product launches, and overall boutique performance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sports cards and the sports collectibles industry is required.
• Genuine passion for sports, sports cards, memorabilia, and collecting.
• Previous experience in sales, retail, luxury retail, collectibles, trading cards, memorabilia, or a related client-facing environment strongly preferred.
• Understanding of card grading, authentication, condition, rarity, and the factors that influence card values.
• Familiarity with major sports card brands and manufacturers such as Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Bowman, and others.
• Strong awareness of the secondary market and how sports cards and collectibles are bought, sold, and valued.
• Proven ability to build relationships and create a personalized sales experience.
• Comfortable discussing and selling high-value merchandise to discerning clientele.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced boutique environment.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with a strong desire to contribute to the growth of a developing luxury retail concept.
