Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) - Uro-Oncology (Great Lakes)

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director in uro-oncology to serve the Great Lakes region. This role engages with external medical leaders on scientific topics, supports clinical research initiatives, and provides scientific expertise with no sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with regional urology leaders and experts
• Address scientific inquiries and direct questions outside scope to appropriate company resources
• Liaise between scientific community and company on clinical research foundations and trial participation
• Engage at scientific congresses to facilitate data exchange and gather market insights
• Identify enrollment barriers and potential investigators for company-sponsored clinical studies

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, or MD credential required
• Minimum 3 years therapeutic area experience in oncology or urology
• Clinical or research experience in assigned therapeutic area beyond degree
• Field-based medical science liaison experience
• Doctoral-level discussion capabilities with external stakeholders
• Comprehensive knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel up to 50% overnight
