2nd shift Hospital Phlebotomist - Fairhope

LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. This position is located at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. Work Schedule Monday – Friday 2:00pm – 10:30pm Rotating weekends Travel to additional sites when needed Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other requested analyses. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Phlebotomy certification or training program from an accredited agency. Additional Job Standards Safe handling and disposal of biohazard materials. Compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
