IOP Phlebotomist

Job Overview LabCorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team in Fairhope, AL. Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch. This position requires full COVID-19 vaccination. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or three months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color-blindness test. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) Plan. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
