About the Opportunity: We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Quality Inspector for 1st shift at our Newburyport facility. Location: Newburyport MA 100% On-site Responsibilities: Calibration: Manage the site’s calibration system. Recall gages due for calibration, schedule outside supplier to perform all calibrations necessary. Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed inspections of engine parts using precision measurement tools. Review specifications and blueprints to ensure compliance with aerospace standards. Identify and disposition non-conforming parts. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, measurement data, and non-conformance reports. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with other inspectors to share best practices and improve inspection methods. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and optimizing inspection techniques. Training Support: Assist in training new team members on inspection protocols, quality standards, and the use of measurement equipment. Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality regulations, and company policies throughout all inspection activities. Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues, implementing effective preventive measures. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience as a quality inspector within a manufacturing setting. 3+ years of verifiable experience working in GD&T. Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Must be able to pass an annual eye exam, resulting in 20/20 corrected vision. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Gagetrack calibration software. Experience in aerospace is preferred. Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written. Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques, CMM inspections, and machining processes such as turning and milling. Working Conditions Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
