Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1780 per week.

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Carolina license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - MUSC Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - MUSC Health.

Additional Details:

If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC.

Required Skills/Experience Telemetry experience and interpretation of dysrhythmias required.

Preferred Skills/Experience Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests RTO is due at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Any candidate that has 7+ days and/or includes holiday RTO will have to be submitted to the facility for approval and can delay the process. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November; peak: August–September). If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during this period.

Unit Details Adult and geriatric patient population. Common medical conditions include DM, HTN, CAD, ESRD, chronic respiratory illnesses, arrhythmia, etc. New unit, building from the ground up. Bedside monitors with telemetry, BP, and pulse ox capability. Charge is split between stepdown and 3 West. No off-shift management scheduled, but leadership is available during off-shift hours by phone. 24/7 house supervisor coverage.

Shift & Scheduling Every other weekend is non-negotiable. No call required.

Floating Requirements Floating as needed by the facility.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
