Pipefitter Foreman

CST Mechanical, Inc. Hampton, VA Job Summary The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. The Pipefitter Foreman ensures workers are qualified and knowledgeable about their roles and makes assignments according to skill set. The Pipefitter Foreman monitors the progress of projects and keeps the projects on track from a time and budgetary standpoint. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed. Produce work schedules in accordance with availability of employees, contractors and labor laws and monitor the attendance of crew. Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery and personnel. Delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors. Provide for adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, best practices, laws and project schedule. Emphasize the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment including training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures. Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites. Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen onsite quickly and amicably. Report project status to supervisors, site engineers and officials regularly. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Pipefitter Foreman is required. Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others. Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance and use, and OSHA guidelines. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to communicate and report effectively. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Good driving record preferred. Education/Training High School Diploma or GED. OSHA 10 Certification required. Accountability Must comply with all company policies and procedures. Accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected. Physical Demands and Work Environment Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas. Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations. Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch. Work in all types of weather. Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 lbs. of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. #J-18808-Ljbffr CST-Mechanical
