Adult Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) - PRN - Days or Nights - Jeff Hwy

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients from neonatal to geriatric age groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Key Responsibilities Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including setting up and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation. Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and ECGs. Deliver intermittent respiratory therapy and assist with changing artificial airways. Provide therapeutic services as ordered by a physician and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Review and document all clinical information for each patient. Educate patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans. Perform diagnostic procedures and adapt care to the specific patient population. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to respiratory care. Education Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Work Experience None required. Certifications Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice. Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of hire. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Proficient computer skills for data entry and information retrieval. Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Proficiency with Windows applications and various role-specific software packages. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical & Environmental Demands The role may require frequently lifting objects ranging from 20 to 100 pounds, bending, stooping, reaching, and grabbing with hands and arms. Responsibilities include frequent travel within and between facilities, working a flexible 24/7 schedule including weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability, and operating in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications.
