- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care strategies
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
- Educate patients and their families about wellness, preventive care, and managing health conditions
- Prescribe medications and therapies as per your scope of practice
- Engage in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care
- Accurately document all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its specialty equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to obtain within 90 days)
- A robust clinical skill set paired with a caring approach
- Excellent interpersonal communication with patients, their families, and medical staff
- Adeptness in fast-paced, patient-oriented settings
- Comfort with EMR systems and telehealth technology
