Responsibilities:

• Direct the Environmental Services, Laundry and Housekeeping departments.

• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, implement, direct, and supervise the Environmental Services, Laundry, and Housekeeping departments, including all programs, services, and activities.

• Develop department policies and procedures and coordinate services with other departments.

• Monitor monthly expenditures to ensure budget compliance.

• Recruit, retain, and evaluate department personnel.

• Develop staffing schedules and work assignments.

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and community policies.

• Maintain required logs and inspections for state and federal requirements.

• Manage department supplies and vendor contracts for systems and operations.

• Provide on-call support for emergencies and occasional weekend coverage.

Picks up Daily Trash and Linen throughout the facility

Has knowledge of Floor Care / Stripping and Waxing

· Cleans and restocks all assigned areas such as resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, clinical areas, conference rooms, nurses’ stations, stairwells, etc., according to departmental standards and guidelines

· Maintains work assignment sheets for daily duties in assigned areas

· Follows safe workplace practices according to regulatory guidelines

· Follows departmental procedures for the daily cleaning procedures and any additional steps as outlined on the job assignment

· Performs other related duties as assigned

• Process Laundry: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press facility linens, towels, and personal resident clothing.

• Manage Personal Items: Inventory, label, and organize resident clothing upon admission to prevent mix-ups or lost items.

• Handle Soiled Materials: Collect and transport soiled linens safely using designated carts while separating contaminated items per infection protocols.

• Deliver Supplies: Return freshly laundered clothing and clean linens directly to resident rooms, closets, and floor storage areas.

• Maintain Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize washers, dryers, lint traps, sorting tables, and the overall laundry workspace.

Requirements:

· Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc

· Ability to work independently

· Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic

· Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel

· Must provide a criminal background check

· Housekeeping experience is a plus
