Job Summary:

Crystal Lake Healthcare & Rehabilitation, a 235-bed facility located in Berkeley Township, New Jersey, is seeking a talented Director of Food Services to join our team. As a key member of our administration, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our patients receive high-quality meals that meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities:

• Food Service Operations: Oversee the planning, preparation, and service of meals for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and dietary aides, to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Menu Planning and Purchasing: Develop and implement menus that cater to patients' diverse dietary needs, while managing food inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize budget.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure food quality and safety by implementing quality control measures, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining accurate records.
• Budget Management: Oversee the food service budget, making adjustments as needed to stay within allocated funds.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including nursing, therapy, and social services, to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 0 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills , with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and families.
• Familiarity with food service software and technology , including inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work varied shifts , including weekends and holidays, as needed.
