Work Environment

This full-time position operates primarily in a home care setting based in Charlottesville, Virginia, allowing therapists to work directly with patients in their own environments. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, involving 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will entail:

• Evaluating and diagnosing patients referred by physicians to create personalized treatment plans tailored to specific needs.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions and monitoring progress in a variety of orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and sports medicine cases.
• Delivering high-quality customer service and fostering a positive therapeutic environment to enhance patient satisfaction and recovery outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to maintain patient care standards and achieve optimal results through evidence-based practices.
• Educating patients and their caregivers on treatment protocols and self-management strategies to promote independence and long-term health.
• Tracking patient progress against established goals and adhering to professional standards while meeting organizational targets.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and age-related musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, you will serve a diverse range of clients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring that each patient receives customized therapy to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Graduation from a physical therapy program accredited by APTA or CAPTE.
• State licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer software for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively connect with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred, candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and relevant clinical experience will also be considered. Previous experience in home health care or a similar environment is an asset. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of building strong relationships with patients and a willingness to engage actively in community outreach efforts.

Stalwart Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a full benefits package that may include:
