Senior Database Reliability Engineer

Seeking a hands-on Senior Database Reliability Engineer for a full-time remote position who will design, build, and scale the database platform used across applications, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability while collaborating with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain shared database platform components and automation tools for Sezzle applications Establish scalable patterns for database interactions and improve database usage in application code Lead database reliability initiatives, enhancing performance and reducing operational risks Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or database engineering Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or TypeScript Deep hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL Experience with AWS RDS/Aurora and database connection management technologies Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
