Accounting Manager

A confidential, growth‑oriented retail company based in West Los Angeles is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance organization. This is a hands‑on role with clear visibility to leadership and a defined path for advancement as the business continues to scale. This position is ideal for someone with a public accounting foundation who is ready to step into a leadership role within industry, or an experienced industry accountant with strong technical fundamentals. Onsite | $120K–$140K Base + Bonus Responsibilities Own core accounting functions including monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses Support audits, tax filings, and external advisors Partner cross‑functionally with FP&A, operations, and leadership as needed Identify and implement process improvements as the company scales Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development over time Qualifications 4+ years of accounting experience Public accounting experience and/or CPA strongly preferred but not required Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes Retail, consumer, or inventory‑based business experience is a plus but not required Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable in an onsite environment Clear communicator with interest in long‑term growth and leadership Why This Role Stable, well‑capitalized retail business High‑visibility role with leadership exposure Clear upward mobility and long‑term growth path Competitive compensation up to $140K base plus bonus Seniority level: Mid–Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Accounting/Auditing Industries: Retail and Food and Beverage Retail #J-18808-Ljbffr Genesis Partners - Executive Search
