Electrical Distribution Team Lead In the role of Electrical Distribution Team Lead, we'll count on you to: Assist in the responsibility for operations of electrical distribution production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support Function as the Project Manager or Lead Engineer for electrical distribution design projects in low or medium voltage distribution design, accounting for approximately 75% of the weekly workload Mentor less experienced staff Manage administrative responsibilities for section staff and technical service functions, and coordinate with other sections Participate in marketing planning, proposals and interviews Engage directly with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues Ensure that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through a proactive project management system Implement, monitor and support company policy Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel Collaborate with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering—preferably electrical, though other engineering degrees will be considered with relevant background and experience Professional Engineering (PE) License Experience in distribution design, including planning studies, coordination studies, wire sizing, and a general understanding of constructability Experience using Synergi Electric and PSCAD system study software Experience leading and/or teaching new or less experienced staff about electrical distribution design and planning studies Self‑driven and motivated individual who can network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills Commitment to actively participate in our employee‑owned culture is a must Primary Location United States-Wisconsin-Madison Industry Power Schedule Full-time Employee Status Regular At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
