CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Campbell County Health (CCH) is seeking a detail‑oriented and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team in Gillette, Wyoming. As an integral part of the surgical team, you will work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all surgical procedures are conducted under optimal conditions. This role requires a commitment to patient safety, a thorough understanding of sterile processing, and the ability to react quickly in high‑pressure environments. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgery including setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions. Assemble, adjust, and check non‑sterile equipment to ensure it is in proper working order. Follow strict protocols to maintain sterility throughout surgical procedures. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Help in the preparation and disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis. Participate in counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the operation. Assist in applying dressings and prepare patients for transport to recovery rooms. Qualifications Proficiency in maintaining sterile environments. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to respond effectively under pressure. Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
