Interested in joining our smart, fun, and talented team?Position OverviewWe are looking to hire a Manager of Human Resource Services to join our Fourth team! The Manager of Human Resource Services will oversee a team of HR Generalists supporting clients with HR consultative services in employee relations, compensation, employment law compliance, EPLI exposure, handbook creation and upkeep, and policies to address areas of possible exposure. This position will be responsible for administering guidance for the EPLI program and coordinating with our Risk and Safety team.Primary ResponsibilitiesClient HR Services Management:Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise for clients and worksite employees; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Educate clients in employment law compliance and provide guidance in the process of talent acquisition of managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with clients to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Manage EPLI claims submitted and assist with gathering documents needed to support the claim; in some cases, may assist with the development of a position statement.Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure clients attract and retain top talent.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to ensure compliance measures are met.Guide clients in matters of employee performance, disciplinary action, and terminations.Department Management:Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning for the HR Services department.Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.Oversee the department’s talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified HR GeneralistsDevelop team KPIs to support business initiatives.Manage the team’s performance and execute disciplinary action when neededMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other duties as assigned.Key Skills and CompetenciesStrong background and experience in a customer service environment.Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and systems troubleshooting.Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented and highly organizedIntermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and system troubleshootingPreferred Experience and/or QualificationsMaster’s degree in a related field or 8-10 years’ experience in a senior-level HR/Employee Relations role.SPHR, PHR, and/or SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP certificationBroad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and administrative skillsExperienced presenter with groups of 10-15 management-level participantsPEO ExperienceFourth Benefitsð Unlimited PTO!
