SQL Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities
- Manage AWS RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) databases.
- Handle provisioning, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security, encryption, and access controls.
- Monitor health, troubleshoot performance issues, and support production databases.
- Act as the primary client contact for database environments.
- Gather requirements, provide architecture recommendations, and explain solutions clearly.
- Support incidents, RCA discussions, audits, and provide documentation/runbooks.
- Advise on scalability, reliability, and cost optimization best practices.
- 7+ years of DBA experience.
- Strong AWS RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) expertise.
- Proven client-facing/support experience.
- Solid knowledge of performance tuning, security, and DR strategies.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
