Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Temecula, CA. This role supports administrative services related to special districts, including the long-term collection and administration of special taxes, assessments, fees, and charges for local government clients. The Analyst Assistant will work closely with project managers, clients, and internal team members to analyze data, manage financial information, support compliance activities, and produce accurate deliverables. Key Responsibilities Serve as a key point of contact for clients by providing timely, accurate data and support related to special district administration. Manage and analyze financial, tax, assessment, fee, and district-related data using spreadsheets, databases, and other information tools. Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by reviewing applicable codes, legal documents, maps, and financial records. Analyze large and complex data sets, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations or alerts when data variances occur. Partner with project managers and team members to complete client requests, special projects, reporting, and quality control reviews. Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $28.00 per hour. Job type: Temp-to-hire. Location: Temecula, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills Support day-to-day analysis and administrative functions for special district projects. Manage databases, financial tracking, calculations, reporting, and client data requests. Review and interpret applicable government, taxation, bond, legal, and financial documentation. Analyze complex data sets and support high-quality deliverables for local government clients. 3-5 years of related experience in financial analysis, accounting, public administration, administrative support, or a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills, including experience working with data analysis and data management tools. Experience using web-based information sources and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong analytical, mathematical, financial, and computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and presentation abilities. Strong time management, organization, and information management skills. High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work and complete quality control reviews. Resourceful, self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal direction. Professional attitude with the ability to ask strong questions, retain information, and apply feedback effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Special Financing Districts, special taxes, assessments, fees, bonds, or local government finance. Familiarity with SQL, Access, or similar database and data management tools. Experience reading and interpreting maps or performing spatial analysis. Prior experience supporting government, public sector, municipal finance, or public administration projects.
