Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Westerville, OH. This role requires cultural competence and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Duties Screen and investigate cases. Gather evidence and negotiate settlements. Prepare and file lawsuits. Handle all aspects of litigation and try cases. Research case law and statutes. Attend immigration interviews and hearings. Draft and finalize legal documents. Prepare notices and schedule depositions. Requirements Previous litigation experience. At least one year of personal injury claim experience. Strong legal drafting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in English and French/Haitian Creole/Spanish desired. Ability to make timely decisions and meet deadlines. Maintain professionalism in challenging situations. Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures. Travel may be required within and outside central Ohio. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar certification required. Skills Strong investigative and research skills. Excellent negotiation and organizational skills. Ability to formulate effective case strategies.
