Associate Test Engineer

Are you passionate about quality, precision, and engineering excellence? Join our NTN Test Lab team as a Test Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of world‑class bearing solutions. This highly hands‑on role involves a wide variety of responsibilities with a primary focus on product testing. You will have access to a variety of testing machines as well as advanced metrology equipment. Location : Wheeling, IL Responsibilities Manage test projects from inception to completion, including determining optimal methods, developing test plans, designing tooling, troubleshooting, collecting data, and presenting results in detailed formal written reports. Utilize advanced metrology equipment to review tested bearings and confirm accuracy of developed tooling. Collaborate with engineers, metallurgists, and technicians on a wide range of bearing‑related projects. Manage relationships with outside vendors and suppliers related to tooling and services. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME preferred). 1–5 years of hands‑on engineering experience (internships considered). Uses engineering principles to solve problems and develop appropriate action plans. Possesses solid communication skills, both written and interpersonal. Collaborates with peers and supervisors for guidance, escalating problems and roadblocks as they occur. Experience with 3D CAD software. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience doing hands‑on mechanical work and comfortable utilizing a variety of tools. Ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous projects and drive each to formal conclusion. Requirements The base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, based on job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
