Technician - Regional Program

Job Summary This Technician position performs technical tasks in field and office independently, serving as Chief Inspector (or Resident) on active construction projects. Responsibilities Monitor and enforce contractor TCP, SEWPCP, and QC Plan. Ensure inspected work meets standard specifications, contract requirements, and policy‑approved testing. Detail, design, and estimate quantities for regional pavement preservation or rehabilitation projects. Qualifications Five (5) years of engineering experience; or An associate degree in engineering or related technical field plus three (3) years of engineering experience; or A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field plus one (1) year of engineering experience. Salary and Benefits Annual salary: $50,578.08 – $70,867.68 (includes a 2.5% stipend). 13 paid holidays and 3+ weeks vacation leave annually; vacation accrual increases with years of service; overtime‑exempt employees receive personal leave. 12 days sick leave annually. Health insurance: State pays 85–95% of employee‑only premiums (annual value $11,196.96–$12,514.32, based on salary). Dental insurance: State pays 100% of employee‑only premiums ($358.08 annually).
