Find your next opportunity today!Description of WorkEmployees in this class are characterized by the performance of routine practical nursing work in the care and treatment of patients, under the supervision of a Professional Nurse or Nurse Supervisor. Employees in this class participate in nursing assessments, provide personal care of patients/inmates, take routine vital signs, feed patients, monitor intake and output, collect specimens, change aseptic dressings, deliver routine respiratory therapy and other treatments, catheter and colostomy care, stock supplies, admit patients, give routine medications and assist the Registered Nurse and Physician as needed.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesRecruitment Range: $41,407 - $62,111Working knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, theory and practices.Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health and safety practices.Working knowledge of proper dosage, effects & contraindications.Knowledge of observing and evaluating patient's condition.Knowledge of instructing patients in routine medical care.*A Sign-on bonus of $4,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.*Eligibility for Sign-on BonusTo qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible.
