Executive Chef Opportunity

An exciting opportunity awaits an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a luxury property in East Africa. We are seeking a creative & commercially astute culinary leader with a passion for exceptional cuisine, outstanding guest experiences & team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all culinary operations across the hotel, including restaurants, banqueting, room service and other food outlets.
• Develop innovative menus that reflect the hotel's brand, culinary standards and guest expectations.
• Lead, mentor and develop kitchen teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage food costs, budgets, stock control and supplier relationships to maximise profitability.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and service standards across all outlets.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health regulations.
• Collaborate with the F&B Director and senior management to drive revenue and achieve financial targets.

Requirements:

• Culinary Diploma and preferably 10 years work experience in ultra luxury environments.
• Location experience in Sub-Saharan Africa with the ability to work in a remote location.
• Experience in various different types of cuisine and kitchen set up (banquette, main kitchen, outlet kitchen)
• Fluency in English is essential, any additional languages preferable.
• Intermediate HACCP certified.
• Leadership program certified.
