Senior Analytical Lab Technician - GC/MS & LC/MS/MS

Role: Lab Tech Sr.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lab Tech Sr. to support analytical laboratory operations by processing GC/MS and LC/MS/MS data following instrumental analysis for drugs-of-abuse testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical laboratory background and the ability to accurately process data while following SOPs and regulated laboratory procedures. Key Responsibilities:

Process GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data according to established assay SOPs.

Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .

Verify sample identification and sequence accuracy for each analytical batch.

Review acquired instrument data and generate accurate analytical reports.

Perform the first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS data according to assay requirements.

Transcribe or upload analytical results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.

Maintain accurate Chain of Custody (COC) and batch documentation.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and promptly escalate issues or emerging challenges.

Follow laboratory safety procedures when working with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and analytical instruments.

Maintain and promote a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.

Ability to safely work with biological specimens, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and analytical instruments .

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory data processing.

Ability to follow SOPs and regulated laboratory procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS .

Experience handling biological specimens .

Analytical laboratory experience.

Experience with LIS and laboratory data systems.

Knowledge of Chain of Custody documentation and regulated laboratory workflows.
