Neuro Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in interventional radiology, critical care nursing, and specifically in the management of thrombectomies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide conscious sedation medications and monitor patient responses during procedures.
• Conduct pre-procedural timeouts to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize critical care nursing skills in a busy interventional radiology department.
• Take call shifts as scheduled, providing nursing support on a rotating basis.

Schedule

Position requires a commitment to a 4x10 hour daily schedule, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Call Requirements

The RN will be expected to take 10-12 call shifts every six weeks, including a mix of weekdays and weekends, with a 30-minute response time for calls.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (Radiant module preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Neuro Interventional Radiology or related fields.
• Proficient in conscious sedation and the management of thrombectomy procedures.
• Travel nursing experience is required.

Vaccine Requirements

Flu vaccination is mandatory from October 1st to March 31st during flu season. Medical or religious exemptions may be considered, subject to compliance with applicable guidelines.
