Our customers range from Fortune 500 companies and professional sports organizations to school districts, municipalities, golf courses, universities, airports, and construction companies. Whether supporting a major sporting event, a large-scale construction project, or a local school district, our meteorologists play a critical role in helping customers make safe, informed decisions when weather matters most. As an Operational Meteorologist , you'll serve as a trusted weather advisor to customers across our entire portfolio. You'll provide timely, accurate forecasts and actionable guidance while building strong relationships with customers who rely on Perry Weather every day. For many of our enterprise customers, you'll also deliver personalized meteorological support tailored to their operations and weather safety plans. You'll combine technical expertise with exceptional communication skills to translate complex weather data into clear recommendations that help customers confidently navigate changing conditions. What You'll Do Provide operational forecasts and real-time weather support for customers across a diverse range of industries, including professional sports, construction, aviation, education, municipalities, golf, and other weather-sensitive operations with customized meteorological support for many of our enterprise customers. Respond to inbound customer calls, emails, and weather-related requests with timely, accurate guidance. Help customers make mission-critical decisions, including: Should we delay or cancel today's game? What is today's heat safety risk for outdoor activities? How will this storm impact our construction schedule? When is it safe to resume operations? Prepare proactive daily forecasts. Partner closely with Customer Success and Support teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Contribute to continuous improvements in forecasting processes and operational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences. Experience forecasting in operational or high-impact weather environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex weather concepts to non-meteorologists. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Customer-focused with a passion for helping others make informed decisions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where priorities can shift quickly. Available to work 12-hour shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to provide continuous weather monitoring and support for our customers. This is an in-office position based in our Dallas headquarters in the Oak Lawn neighborhood. Nice to Have Experience in broadcast or operational meteorology. Familiarity with industries such as K-12 education, parks and recreation, golf, aviation, construction, collegiate athletics, or professional sports. Experience delivering weather briefings to operational stakeholders or executive audiences.
