Project Manager (Full-time)

The Project Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of all assigned projects while remaining aligned with the strategy of the organization and the client’s needs. In addition to coordinating field operations, the Project Manager will provide support for Field Managers as needed, marketing, back‑office operations, and employee relations. Essential Functions Oversee the day‑to‑day operations and management of multiple retail staffing projects, focusing on nationwide big‑box retail stores, and manage and train Field Managers and on‑site leads. Direct and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across all project phases, from conceptual/preliminary retail design and construction. Review client‑provided scope of work, goals, and deliverables. Define tasks and required resources. Create schedules and project timelines. Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident. Facilitate client‑facing change management and provide ongoing communication throughout the project. Track deliverables and develop reporting to provide appropriate analysis of the scope of work and resources required to execute efficiently, including labor, skills, and equipment & materials. Develop a strategy to monitor extensive rollout programs, address schedule changes as needed, and coordinate the proper and timely closeout of each project. Manage and monitor operating metrics while diagnosing and improving procedures to increase operational efficiency and customer service performance. Requirements & Experience 2–5 years of fixture installation and/or retail construction experience with nationwide home‑improvement chains (Lowes, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, Harbor Freight, etc.). 4 or more years of experience with multi‑site operations in either Operations or Staffing Management. 4 or more years of experience with nationwide home‑improvement store projects. 4 or more years of experience with nationwide big‑box retail store projects. 4 or more years of experience using project management software, whether custom or generalized. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Preferred Requirements & Experience Experience with direct client interactions via site visits to corporate locations or in‑store multi‑state operations. Experience with direct client interactions via site visits to corporate locations or in-store. Competencies and Skills Strong and effective communication, both verbal and in writing. Ability to build rapport with client contacts, marketing, back‑office operations, and employees. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and relevant database programs. Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and perform work efficiently. Ability to work effectively with labor associates. Successful experience solving problems and taking steps to ensure no recurrence. Working independently and in groups. Up to 50% of the time may be on‑site at client locations nationwide. Work may include supporting overnight shifts on‑site or virtually (audio and video). Work Environment Exposure to variable temperatures. Warehouse setting. Exposure to outside weather conditions. Physical Demands Sitting for extended periods. Ability to drive up to 4 hours at a time. Working on a computer. Lifting to 40 pounds frequently; 50 pounds occasionally. Standing for extended periods.
