The NICU is Level I, with an average of 200 total hospital deliveries per month and approximately 25 deliveries handled by hospitalists monthly. Hospitalists are not required to back up midwives but do provide backup for family practice. Additional OB/GYN ED call backup is also available to support hospitalists.
