Fund Formation & Regulatory Attorney

Job Description
Our client, a global investment firm with a strong focus on credit strategies, is looking to add a seasoned credit attorney to its Legal & Compliance group. The position will support an expanding registered investment adviser business by advising on regulatory compliance, governance, and day-to-day fund operations.
\n \nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Provide legal support on the structuring, formation, and management of private and registered funds. \n
- Counsel internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements under the Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and related securities regulations \n
- Collaborate with the business development team on marketing material review and client requests \n
- Act as point of contact for external counsel \n
- Review and negotiate fund documentation \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Juris Doctor \n
- 3-7 years of legal experience either at a law firm or an in-house role \n
- Proficiency in credit strategies and vehicles \n
- Strong knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940 \n
